Bask in Views & Birdsongs All Day for $3,100/mo on the Border of Silver Lake & Echo Park

Walls of ivy? Fruit trees? Views for miles? Check, check, check!

Nevermind the amazing location, great flow, large rooms, gleaming hardwoods, and incredible light this space has to offer because it’s all about the outdoors in this urban treehouse.

Go ahead; pick a lemon off your tree, do some gardening, hang out with some hummingbirds on your huge front porch, get your grill on, and if The Dodgers are playing you may even get a front row seat to a fireworks show. You’re the king or queen of your castle perched high above the street with your ultra-private outdoor space, panoramic views, central heat & air, dual-pane windows, high ceilings, and two private garages.

This is technically a duplex but due to it’s unique layout the only shared walls are in closets (and what big closets they are!) so it feels more like a freestanding house. Gas W/D hookup, refrigerator, stove, and microwave are included. Available for March 1 move-in, asking $3,100/mo, California livin’ at it’s finest!

Checking in on a Glassell Park DIY Remodel

Last February my amazing, creative, and very ambitious friends and clients purchased a cute little Mid-Century home on the border of Eagle Rock & Glassell Park that had been the victim of a cheap (lets just say shitty) flip.
They’ve been working tirelessly since on restoring/updating all of the finishes and decorating like champs (one half of this duo happens to be an interior designer by trade so that works out well!). Beyond the interior and exterior of the home itself they’ve spent a large portion of time landscaping the formerly un-useable sloped lot that was filled with weeds and trash into a gorgeous private fenced and tiered drought-tolerant patio complete with stadium seating and a gas fire pit. The non-interior designer half of this powerhouse is also a video editor and we love it when they keep us updated on their remodeling progress with fun videos. Here’s the latest:

For Rent: The Cutest House in Highland Park

For $3,500 a month with a one-year lease you can live the good life!

Have your morning coffee down the street at Café de Leche – or better yet get it to-go and enjoy it while listening to the birds chirp from one of your many outdoor patio areas in this bright and airy newly-remodeled home. Tucked into a leafy street North of York on the border of Highland Park and Eagle Rock, this 2 bedroom, 2 bath 1923 Spanish home is the perfect blend of charming character details and modern conveniences.

Don’t let the red clay tiled roof and vintage French casement windows fool you – this home has been decked out with all of the best contemporary updates; central heat & air, engineered hardwood floors throughout, brand new kitchen appliances, caesarstone countertops, and remodeled bathrooms are just the beginning. With it’s private terraced backyard complete with a pergola and multiple sitting and garden areas it’s going to be hard to justify spending much time inside – luckily the master suite opens directly into the backyard for seamless indoor/outdoor living. Did I mention the walk-in closet? The decorative fireplace? The automatic sprinklers and scheduled gardener? And don’t worry, the laundry room is right next to the converted garage studio in case you need to do a quick load of laundry while working from your new home office.

UPDATE: This home has been rented.
